In brief

  • Your rights concern personal data actually processed by the relevant party.
  • Local app files are under your control; they are not automatically sent to the developer.
  • Send requests to support@sfxlbuilder.com.

Which party holds the information

The developer generally cannot see the local app’s library, scripts, settings, or projects. A request to the developer concerns personal data actually received or controlled, such as support correspondence or website-operation information.

Freesound, Apple, Cloudflare, and any cloud provider you connect may hold other information under their own arrangements. The correct recipient depends on the information and purpose. See the Privacy Policy.

Rights under the GDPR

  • Access: ask whether personal data about you is processed and request a copy.
  • Rectification: request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Erasure: request deletion where the relevant conditions apply.
  • Restriction: ask for certain processing to be limited where the conditions apply.
  • Objection: object to processing based on legitimate interests; the grounds and any applicable exceptions must be considered.
  • Portability: where applicable, receive data provided by you in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.
  • Consent: withdraw consent where it is the basis for processing.

These rights are subject to the conditions and exceptions in the GDPR. Some information may need to be retained to meet a legal obligation or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

Making a request

Email support and privacy requests to support@sfxlbuilder.com, or send a private message through the contact page. The Support page explains what to include. The website has two forms, the optional beta form and the contact form, both described in the Privacy Policy. There is no file-upload service.

In your email, identify the right you wish to exercise and enough information to locate the relevant record, such as an earlier support exchange. Do not send your full sound library, API key, password, or identity document by default. Additional proportionate information may be requested if there is reasonable doubt about identity.

Response time and cost

GDPR requests should be answered without undue delay and normally within one month of receipt. A permitted extension of up to two further months may apply because of complexity or the number of requests; you must be informed within the first month with the reasons.

Requests are normally free. The GDPR allows limited exceptions for manifestly unfounded or excessive requests.

Complaints

You may lodge a complaint with a competent data-protection authority, including in the country of your habitual residence, place of work, or the alleged infringement. In Portugal, contact Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD). You do not need to wait for the developer’s response to exercise a right to complain.
