SFX L'Builder Features

Every feature,
one shortcut away.

SFX L'Builder is a sound effects library manager for video editors on Mac. Here is everything it does, from search to the final cut.

Feature list

Quick Search

Press ⌥ Space over any app to search your whole sound library. Describe a sound in English or Portuguese and audition results with the arrow keys.

Search by meaning

Sounds are analysed on your Mac and tagged by what they sound like, so “heavy dark impact” finds the right file even when its name says “hit_03”.

Preview & FX

Trim to a selection, then pitch, reverse, fade, normalize or change channels. Every edit is exported as a new file; originals are never overwritten.

Similar sounds

Found a take you like? Get alternatives that sound like it, ranked closest first.

Tags & pools

Automatic tags describe each sound, and auto-organize groups them into pools you can refine by hand.

Duplicates

See sounds you have twice, even in different formats, and compare them before anything is removed.

Editor handoff

One-key send to After Effects and Premiere Pro, FCPXML import for Final Cut Pro, and prepared WAV files for DaVinci Resolve and CapCut.

Production projects

Keep a production's brief, client, deadline and every sound you used together, from open to delivered. Share the list or the audio.

AI Voice

Write a line and generate it with one of 40 voices, entirely on your Mac. Set pace, pitch and room; the result lands in your library.

Connected sources

Search Freesound or a cloud folder from inside the app. The author and licence travel with every download.

External drives

Use any folder or external drive. Files stay where they are, and sounds appear as they are scanned.

Private and offline

Search, analysis and voice generation run on your Mac. No account, no upload.

Mac now, Windows next

Built for macOS first. A Windows version with the same features is in development.

Press ⌥ Space.

SFX L'Builder is in private beta on the Mac, and a Windows version is in development. The first 50 editors get early access.
